The Name
Polis — a city that cannot be hidden.
The name Polis comes from the Greek word used in Matthew 5:14, describing a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. It is not a word about being loud. It is a word about being visible — a settled, ordered, unmistakable presence that people can see from a long way off.
As both an online and in-person ministry located in, and serving, the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, Club Polis seeks to be exactly that: a place where lives are transformed, disciples are developed, and Christ is glorified.

Why Club Polis exists
Club Polis is a growing community of believers committed to helping people discover their identity, purpose, and citizenship within the Kingdom of God. Rooted in biblical truth, we exist to cultivate spiritual maturity, impart sound wisdom, and equip individuals to walk fully in their God-given calling.
Our mission is to reach a generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, rescue lives from darkness, and ignite hearts with the power and fire of the Holy Spirit. We believe God has commissioned us to tear down strongholds, restore biblical foundations, and build a culture that reflects His heart and His government.
Through discipleship, teaching, community, outreach, and Kingdom-centered living, we are committed to seeing the culture of the DFW Metroplex transformed from the patterns of the world into a thriving Kingdom ecosystem — an environment where God’s presence, truth, power, and purposes are made known in every sphere of influence.
Club Polis exists to make disciples, establish Kingdom identity, and advance the rule and reign of Jesus Christ in our generation.
How We Go About It
Five ways we work.
The mission is one sentence. Living it out takes five habits, practised week after week.
Teaching
Verse by verse, with concordances open. We want believers who can handle the Word themselves.
Community
Meals, group chats, prayer circles in a parking lot. The table is where most of the real work happens.
Outreach
Reaching a generation with the Gospel and rescuing lives from darkness — in our own city first.
Kingdom-Centered Living
Carrying God’s government into every sphere of influence: work, family, school, and the street.
What to Expect
What a study night actually looks like.
It is a co-ed Bible study, and it is genuinely a study. We take one chapter, work through it in parts, and stop constantly to ask what the words mean.
You will hear people say “pull up your concordance” more than once. We cross-reference. We read other translations. We chase a Greek word down to its lexicon entry when it matters. Then we close in prayer and take a challenge into the week.
Bring with you
- Your Bible Any translation. Most of our guides quote the KJV, and we read others alongside it.
- A concordance Physical or an app. We use it constantly to reach the original Greek and Hebrew.
- Something to write with Every guide has space for your own answers. The reflections are the point.
- Questions Nothing is off limits. Discussion is open and honest, and no one is behind.
